Luis A Carvajal

Beloved father and grandfather Luis A. Carvajal, 84, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026, in Southaven, MS. A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 p.m., both at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven (626 Star Landing Road East, Southaven, MS 38672). Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven is in charge of local arrangements. Luis proudly served in the Army division of the Ecuadorian military, an experience that reflected his commitment to service, structure, and honor. After his military service, he continued his strong work ethic in the manufacturing industry, where he worked as a line supervisor in food manufacturing, textile machine operator and also as a material handler in an electric components Distribution Center in Southaven. He was respected for his reliability, leadership, kindness and willingness to work hard to provide for those he loved. A devoted lifelong Catholic, Luis found strength and guidance in his faith. He was a faithful member of Christ the King Church, where his devotion to God remained an important part of his life. His beliefs shaped the way he lived—with humility, perseverance, and compassion for others. Luis will be remembered as a dedicated worker, a man of faith, and someone whose life was built on duty, love, and commitment. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Luis leaves behind his son, Freddy (Maria) Carvajal Cano of Olive Branch, MS; his daughter, Hilda Carvajal of Massachusetts; his grandchildren, Rosemarie Carvajal of Puerto Rico, Jordy Carvajal of Lakeland, TN, Fortuna Carvajal of Massachusetts, Emily Carvajal of Olive Branch, and Ricardo Carvajal of Massachusetts; his great grandchildren, Miles Carvajal, Elias Carvajal, and Leon Carvajal, all of Lakeland; his siblings, Maria Carvajal, Klever Carvajal, Manuel Carvajal, Agustin Carvajal, and Flavio Carvajal, all of Ecuador; many nieces and nephews; a host of cousins; many beloved friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Carvajal and Rosa Alvarez and his brother Mentor Carvajal
