Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven Sylvia Sue Hansbrough, 85, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026, in Southaven. A visitation will be held Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with the celebration of life to immediately follow at 3:00 p.m., all at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven. Interment will be at Desoto Memorial Gardens. Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven is in charge of arrangements. Sue will be remembered as a strong, independent, and feisty woman whose life was centered around caring for others. She spent much of her life putting the needs of family and loved ones before her own and was known for always taking care of everyone around her. Her nurturing spirit and dedication to others left a lasting impression on all who knew her. A hardworking woman, Sue continued working until the age of 77, reflecting her determination and unwavering work ethic. Outside of work, she found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved tending to her garden and took pride in watching things grow. She also enjoyed collecting frogs, completing word searches, and spending time in the kitchen preparing meals for those she loved. Cooking was one of the many ways she showed care and created memories with family and friends. Above all, Sue treasured her family and the time spent together. Her strength, love, and spirited personality will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. Sue is survived by her children, James “Randy” Hansbrough and his wife Teresa of Sardis, MS, and Susan “Renee” Postelle and her husband Mark of Nesbit, MS; grandchildren, Joshua Hansbrough and his wife Quincy of FL, Shelby Reynolds and her husband Andrew of Greersferry, AR, Spencer Mohundro (Jess) of Nesbit, Morgan Postelle (Tyler) of Elbridge, TN, and Mark Postelle, Jr. and his wife Anjela of Bartlett, TN; great-grandchildren, Sherriff Reynolds, Sherlock Reynolds, Sylvia Reynolds, Silas Mohundro, Maddox Cole, Keaton Hansbrough and Kora Hansbrough; and her sister, Faye Little and her husband Barry of Newburn, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Viola Herman; great-grandaughter, Scarlett Reynolds; and her sister, Diane Speed.
